Upper Mississippi River Day Trip- Saturday, September 22nd
$35 for Severson Dells Members $42 for Non-Members
Enjoy a day trip to the Mississippi River. We will spend the morning with US Fish and Wildlife Biologist, Jeramie Strickland, learning about the flora, fauna and current research being conducted at the Upper Mississippi Wildlife Refuge. After a break for lunch, we will head up to Mississippi Palisades State Park to hike some of the 15 miles of trails. We will meet at Severson Dells at 7:30am and return by 5pm. Transportation is provided. Please bring a lunch. We will have coolers available to hold lunches.
Aldo Leopold Trip- Saturday, October 6th
$40 for Severson Dells Members $50 for Non-Members
Join us for a day trip to visit Baraboo, Wisconsin to learn more about the legendary biologist and naturalist, Aldo Leopold. Severson Dells has a private tour arranged to visit Leopold’s Shack, the Farm and the LEED certified Leopold Center. Transportation from Severson Dells is provided. We will meet at 7am at Severson Dells. Please bring a lunch. We will have coolers available to hold lunches.
Boundary Waters Winter Trip- February 5th-9th, 2019
Enjoy the splendor of winter in the North Woods while sampling the activities it has to offer. Dogsled across frozen lakes. Cross-country ski through snow-covered pine forests. Snowshoe under the stars. Enjoy the benefits of a wood-fired Finnish sauna, followed by a refreshing dip in the lake. Relax at night by a cozy fire in the lodge recounting the day’s adventures.
The first night will be spent in Duluth before we get up to the lodge in the Boundary Waters.
