Join us at Severson Dells for these family-friendly, open-house style events. Each month will have a different nature theme full of hands-on, minds-on activities for guests of all ages to participate in. Weather permitting, there will also be guided hikes.


All Science Saturdays are FREE!


Most Science Saturdays are 10 am to 2 pm except when specified.

Pollinator Palooza

Birds, bats, butterflies, bees...it's a Pollinator Palooza! Come out to Severson Dells for crafts, activities, food, and more celebrating our pollinating friends!

Reptile & Amphibian Rendezvous

Slither your way on over to Severson Dells for a hopping good time! We will explore the world of reptiles and amphibians and learn all about snakes, turtles, frogs and more! 

Nature's Nightlife

Join us for a nocturnal party...during the day! Lots of things might go bump in the night, but that doesn't mean they are scary! Join us as we explore all things at night, like bats, skunks, foxes and more!

Animal Olympics

Calling all champions! Join us for a day of Animal Olympics! Can you run as fast as a cheetah? Jump as high as a mountain lion? Put your skills to the test and go for the GOLD!
