We believe that nature is the best teacher and that when one develops a deeper understanding of nature they develop as a person. Join Naturalist/Educator Andrea Wallace for a morning packed with exciting and intentional activities centered around a different environmental theme each month. We will read picture books that introduce ecological concepts, make nature-themed crafts that utilize fine-motor and creative thinking skills, observe and interact with our natural environment, and of course, have a lot of fun! We hope to explore the great outdoors as much as we can, so come dressed for the weather. This program is intended for children aged 3-6 years and a guardian to accompany them.
September 10: Treerific Trees
Learn all about the trees around us! We will read from “Tree: A Peek-Through Picture Book,” do sensory exploration with bark rubbings, and work on fine-motor skills by making tube necklaces from invasive tree species.
