Frog Hike at Pecatonica River Forest Preserve

Meet at the Pectonica River Forest Preserve shelter house. Severson
Dells staff will present a brief introduction to local frogs and toads
and the importance of their role in natural communities. Depending
on the weather, we will hike down to the oxbow lake (an easy 1 mile
round-trip) to listen for our amphibian friends. If time allows, we
will carpool over to the Pecatonica Wetlands to give a listen there,
too! Free. Please register at:
or call 815-335-2915. Space is limited.
