Species Spotlight: Odonata Monitoring (dragonflies)

Dragonflies and damselflies represent a most ancient order of insects, the Odonata. Fierce predators and elegant fliers, the odonata are fascinating and beautiful. Attend this morning session to learn about these magnificent organisms, and perhaps prepare to start monitoring them yourself. Esteemed local naturalist and citizen scientist Barbara Williams will provide an overview of the dragonflies and damselflies in our area and then tell you about the fun and challenge of identifying and tracking these amazing insects.

Pre-register on the event calender at no later than Wednesday, April 3rd if you wish to reserve a printed copy of the instructional materials at the event. Walk-ins are always welcome, though space is limited. FREE!
