STATUS: Least Concern

DESCRIPTION: White-footed Mice are about 6-8 in. long and weigh 0.5-0.9 oz.

DIET: Their diet consists of seeds, berries, nuts, insects, fruit, and fungi

HABITAT: White-footed Mice are mostly nocturnal and are found in urban areas, forests, and semi-desert areas.

NOTES: They communicate by using scent glands and squeaking. They drum their paws on hollow reeds or dry leaves to produce a buzzing noise, but the purpose of these noises is still unknown.
