Wild Things

Ages 4 to 6

Little Creators (ages 4 -6)

Play, dance, sing, and craft! Your little creator will get to explore nature through the arts and deepen their appreciation for the outdoors.

Grab your lab coat! Let’s see the scientific method in action as we experiment with all sorts of exciting ecology activities geared for our young learners!

Join our pirate crew for swashbuckling adventure on the high seas of Severson! We will catch critters, make boats, and search for lost treasure.

Teen Adventures

July 15-19

Blazing Paddles (ages 12-16)


9 am to 3 pm


Explore the rivers of Winnebago County by canoe, build teamwork and leadership skills, and partake in crazy fun camp traditions. (Note: this camp requires campers to be dropped off and picked up at different locations each day.)


$185/member; $215/non-member.

Adventure Squad (NOW ages 10-14)

9 am to 3 pm


Join us for a different land adventure every day. We will go hiking, creek walking, exploring, and more! (Note: this program is still in early planning phases and may include days off-site exploring differing ecosystems around the greater-Rockford-area).

$185/member; $215/non-member.

Grandparents Camps

Aquatic Habitats

Terrestrial Habitats

Camp Information

Our summer campers spend the majority of each day outdoors; exploration is a key part of our daily adventures.


Camp Rates:

           Full-day Camps - Jr. Naturalists (ages 7-11): $130/member; $160/non-member.

           Full-day Camps - Teen Adventures (ages 12-16): $185/member; $215/non-member.

           Half-Day Camps - Wild Things (ages 4-6):  $100/member; $115/non-member.

           Grandparents Camp:

                          1 grandparent, 1 grandchild: $35/member; $45/non-member

                          1 grandparent, 2 grandchildren: $45/member; $55/non-member

                          2 grandparents, 2 grandchildren: $55/member; $65/non-member


Camp Notes:

* Campers must be the minimum age by the start of camp.

* Young campers must have independent bathroom skills.

Camp Cancellation Policy:

We are unable to give refunds for cancellations within two weeks (10 business days) of the camp’s start date. A $25 processing fee will be charged for any cancellation prior to two weeks before a camp’s start date for week-long camps and a $5 processing fee will be charged for any cancellation prior to two weeks for a single-day camp program (Grandparents camp). There is no fee for switching to another available camp of the same price in the current camp season. If prices differ, you will need to pay the difference, we will refund or credit you the difference.
