Wildflower Walkabout - Harlem Hills

Our ever-popular Wildflower Walkabouts, offered in conjunction with the Natural Lands Institute, showcase what is currently in bloom at various woodland and grassland preserves around Winnebago and Boone Counties.  Led by local wildflower experts, these are a wonderful opportunity to learn our local flora with other like-minded enthusiasts.

Gary and Judy Anderson and Jerry Paulson offer their expertise on this visit to Harlem Hills Prairie. If we hit it just right, the hills should be bright with the pink and purple of the pale purple coneflowers. The always-beautiful sunset will be a bonus on this favorite of walks. Please meet at Flora Drive in Loves Park. Easy hiking.
