Concert held outside in the Grove at Severson Dells Forest Preserve. Bring a chair, blanket, picnic dinner and your favorite beverage! Sit back and relax and listen to the beautiful voice of Carrie Newcomer in a natural setting.
• Picnic will begin at 12:30 p.m. with preferred sitting for “Friends of Severson Dells.”
• Non-members may find their places at 1:00 p.m.
• Concert begins at 2:30 p.m.
• Free show, but donations would be appreciated.

Carrie Newcomer is a Grammy winning songwriter, recording artist, performer and educator. Named by Chicago’s WFMT as one of “the 50 most influential folk musicians of the past 50 years,” she has become a prominent voice for progressive spirituality, social justice and interfaith dialogue. Boston’s WBEZ has also listed her as one of the most influential folk artists of the last 25 years. She has been described as a “prairie mystic” by the Boston Globe, “asks all the right questions” by Rolling Stone, “a voice as rich as Godiva chocolate” by The Austin Statesman, and “She's the kind of artist whose music makes you stop, and then say, ‘that is so true’ ” by The Dallas Morning News.
