STATUS: Invasive, “Least Concern”

DESCRIPTION: Usually weigh 9 to 10 pounds and reach 9-10 inches in height. Color and build varies greatly based on breed or type.

DIET:Meat, with a requirement that 20% of its diet must be protein. They often hunt without intention of eating what they have killed. Their hunting patterns have serious implications on local, native species.

HABITAT: It is a cosmopolitan species that occurs almost anywhere.

NOTES: It is important to keep domestic casts inside as to reduce their impact on native animal populations in your area. They account for 64.8 million bird deaths each year.
